Description

This historically significant sterling silver pendant is two-sided with one side depicting a deep carving of a Mexican desert scene with a cactus, and a man wearing a sombrero. The other side features a Mayan scene and the wording Chichen Itza. It measures 1.5″ in diameter, and is 2″ when measured with the bail. The pendant is marked with an open eagle with 85 in the centre. It is also hallmarked Sterling 925. The eagle mark was used from 1948-1979. This pendant is estimated to be from the fifties or early sixties. The chain measures 18″ and is not hallmarked.
