Description
This vintage hand painted lacquered Russian pin features a woman in a garden setting, petting a lamb. It measures 2″ in diameter, and is in good condition. The miniature painting is detailed and very well done, to include the trim on her clothing, and facial expressions on both the woman and the lamb. The foliage is also painted in fine detail, with tiny flowers at the bottom, and grasses and leaves on the tree beside them. It has a gold art nouveau style border encircling the painting. It is signed by the artist on the back. Estimated to be 1940’s – 1960’s.
