Description
This gorgeous black lace dress features small, black decorative buttons, and big pockets on the front. It has a high/empire waist, and simple bodice, without buttons. It does not have labels, and is unlined. It feels like silk but could be rayon. The lace is a complex floral pattern, on a fine net background. It slips on over the head. I have belted it with a satin belt, with a bow on the front, on some of the photos. Otherwise it is loose fitting. It measures shoulder to shoulder 16 1/2″ sleeve length 22″ bust and waist 38″ hips free and length is 43″. It is in excellent condition. It looks like it may have been a post Victorian era mourning gown. The twenties dress styles were usually drop waist, but prior to that 1910-1916, loose fitting, empire waist dresses, were popular.
