Description
This footed brass and textile music box is fairly heavy with a raised pattern of metal around the sides, and an antique screen printed painting on the top dated 1776-1837. However the music box itself is likely from the 1950’s or 1960’s. The wind up key on the bottom is functional, and it plays well. It measures 5.6″ long x 3.75″ wide x 1.9″ high. It is labelled on the bottom “The Hay Wain Constable 1776-1837. It has a blue velvet interior. There is some discolouration on the brass on the inside of the lid, and some superficial corrosion on the brass on the bottom. Otherwise the condition is good.
