This incredible pair of antique carved bamboo pictures features unlimited artistry and storytelling. It is as beautiful as it is compelling. The cascading grapes, and apparent negotiations going on, bring images of Emperor’s, and peace time.
I cannot find a comparable item on the internet. There are many carved bamboo brush pots, and a couple of vases, but no detailed scenes such as the one portrayed in this set.
Each picture measures 16″ x 6.25″ not including the brass hangers. Each hanger measures 2″ x 1.75″. The condition of the carvings is very good. The frames have nicks.
