Description
An Original by Lorayne 1950’s black and white polka dot dress and jacket, featuring velvet accents. It has a metal side zipper and hook closures. There is no fabric label. It is made of a light sheer fabric.The skirt has wide pleats, and drapes beautifully with a huge sweep. The jacket and top of the dress are lined, and trimmed in velvet, with a bow at the centre. The straps and belt are black velvet, as well as the collar of the jacket. Size 8. The dress measures bust 34″ waist 28″ and length is 40″. The jacket is open at the front, without closures. The sleeves measure 8″ bust 36″ waist 32″ and length 18″. The dress looks more like a 1940’s style, but it has a Conmatic zipper, which dates it in the 1950’s. Based on the zipper, it was likely made in the US.
