Description
This elegant Roger Freres Paris dress is made of the most unique fabric. There is nothing like it. It is not ribbon, and not string, but rather a coiled fabric sewn into place with blue threading, with a net backing. The only similar fabric I have seen, is wrapped and coiled silk from the 1920s. This is a synthetic. It zips up at the back, and has three hook and eye closures at the collar. The top part of the dress is unlined, and from the bust down, there is an ivory coloured synthetic lining. Fabric composition is 100% polyester. Roger Freres was an independent designer in the 1960’s-1970’s with some amazing designs to his credit. Each one featured on various sites, is a unique one-of-a-kind work of art. This dress is for a tall person. It measures Shoulders 15.5″ Bust 36-37″ Waist 34″ Sleeves 23.5″ and Length is 59″. Circa Late 1960’s or 1970’s.
