Description
This intriguing bone necklace features ten flat pieces at the front, eight of them carved with different symbols. The rest of the necklace has smaller rondelle bone beads, and darker shaded cylindrical beads with carving. It has an antique brass barrel clasp. It is well made, with all tiles aligned, and secured in place with cord. The front portion, with the tiles measures 5.5″ across. Each tile is 1″ x 1″. The necklace cannot be stretched flat due to the curved arrangement of the tiles at the front. It measures 15.75″ long, and is in very good condition, estimated to be from the turn of the century or 1800’s.
