Description
This iconic 1920’s image is of a peacock framed in by flowers and leaves. It is embroidered onto a nude pink background with metallic thread embroidery in the centres of the decorative flowers. In addition, there is a metallic thread in intricate patterns on the body of the bird, with a different pattern of metallic embroidery surrounding the bird. The leaves are open on one side, and filled in on the other. It is a remarkable example of needle artistry. It measures 6.25″ high and 4.00 across. The condition is very good.
