Description

This bonnet style head covering is also called a snood. They were worn under hats in the thirties and forties to catch, cover and hold the hair in place. Sometimes they were worn with the ribbon tied at the top of the head. It is made of a light ribbed brown nylon tulle with polka dots interspersed throughout.  It is trimmed all around with light blue satin to satin ribbons at the front. The 2″ powder blue ruffle frames the face. It is in good condition for its’ age.  The ribbon tie is slightly frayed.
